MONDAY MARCH 30TH
Fans are invited to stop by TOM LOUNGES RECORD BIN and meet the Southern metal group CODY PARKS & THE DIRTY SOUTH -- who have been described as "Def Leppard on corn bread" -- when they perform with Steel Panther at Hobart Art Theater (230 Main St.) on Monday, March 30th.
Before their performance, Parks and the band will do a 5:30p.m. fan meet 'n' greet at The Record Bin (218 Main St.), as the store is directly next to the concert venue. A Very Eclectic Vinyl Record Store Experience
Tom and I opened the first store in the Spring of 2018 and the second location in the Fall of 2020 here is a little history!
TOM LOUNGES' RECORD BIN is a unique record shop located in Northwest Indiana. We carry new and pre-loved vinyl, Audio-Technica turntables, crystals, t-shirts, CD's, Cassettes, coffee mugs, and other pop culture items, Black Squirrel Crossing Guitar pick Jewelry, and collectibles.
The Hobart store was founded in 2018 in Hobart, Indiana by Tom Lounges, who brings to the business over 40 years experience in various aspects of the music business -- as a radio and television broadcaster, print journalist, artist agent and manager, record label annotator, publicist, and event producer.
He also brings many years of knowledge in running vinyl record stores, having spent years working in such popular Midwest record retail chains as Hegewsich Records and Woodmar Records, along with his debut in the vinyl retail world managing the fledgling single store location of Highland Records in 1977.
We have 2 booths at the America's Antique Mall in Highland, IN. Booths B28 and B30. We modeled it after our store - very organized and everything is labeled and easy to find. Located at 8311 Indianapolis Blvd, Highland, IN 46322

Tom Lounges Record Bin has been the site of the taping/making of live music videos by various artists, a national documentary taping done by the Hard Rock Cafe & Casino organization, and it has been the topic of feature articles in both local and national publications.
The store's slogan is "Where the cool kids go!" because one never knows what celebrity might pop in on any given day. See this site's "Gallery" page for some of those celeb images!
